Award winning technicians: Cambridge Plants

on Wednesday, 11 July 2018. Posted in News

Every year members are invited to enter their technicians for recognition for an award. Technicians are the backbone of our industry who rarely get a mention but who have a background seat. They are the ones who keep members installations in tip top condition often working thoroughly unsocialable hours. Our awards recognise

Peter Stanton, Larysa Dyadyusha and Jake Bodnick of Cambidge Plants

Carole Pluckaard of Koberg bv presents Technician Award to Peter Stanton, Larysa Dyadyusha and Jake Bodnick

Peter Stanton
Peter joined us 14 years ago at the tender age of 22. He wins the prize for least (zero) sick days off each year and he is master of the ever-changing Cambridge Plants rota. He knows all there is to know about building, delivering and looking after plants. In his spare time he is a multi instrumentalist, currently playing drums in a band.

Larysa Dyadyusha
Larysa, originally from the Ukraine, is our in-house plant doctor, she has a PhD in plant biochemistry / physiology and can spot a mealy bug before anyone else. She has been a lecturer in Botany and as a horticultural journalist she is a regular visitor at the Chelsea Flower show. Larysa loves all things plant related and in her spare time she likes to ski, to dance and to drink Champagne

Jake Bodnick
Jake was our plant-loving client at Spotify in Cambridge who was charged to turn his office into a jungle. When his department was relocated overseas he immediately got in touch to see if he could come work with us. Jake is very popular with our clients due to his sunny disposition as well as his passion for plants and nature. In his spare time he creates endless varieties of home brew, visits Beer festivals across Europe, works with a Street food company and enjoys punting on the river Cam.
