Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, one of the UK’s oldest and most respected animal rescue centres, is renowned for rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and cats in need. The centre offers expert care and a welcoming environment for animals, staff, and visitors alike
For the 2024 festive season, phs Greenleaf was commissioned to create a bespoke Christmas installation at Battersea, showcasing the centre’s branding while delivering a visually impactful seasonal display. The project focused on the courtyard in front of Whittington Lodge, the UK’s first purpose-built cattery and a historic architectural feature of the site.

The brief required a 10ft custom-designed Christmas tree that embodied a “Starry Night” theme in blue and silver tones, reflecting Battersea’s brand identity. The tree was intended to be the centerpiece for filming a Christmas TV special, meaning it needed to look stunning both on camera and in person, while harmonising with the Lodge’s architectural heritage.

phs Greenleaf carefully positioned and styled the tree, creating a focal point at the charity's headquarters. After filming, the tree was relocated to the main reception, ensuring it continued to enhance the visitor experience throughout the holiday season.

The installation not only provided a memorable visual experience for visitors and staff but also reinforced Battersea’s commitment to maintaining a professional, engaging public image. The blue and silver theme highlighted the installation’s impact during the TV special episode and continued bringing festive joy after filming in the main reception. Through continued collaboration, Battersea and phs Greenleaf demonstrated how thoughtfully designed seasonal displays can strengthen brand identity.
