Gold Leaf Award Winner: Ambius - Reckitt Benckiser, Stockley Park

on Wednesday, 28 October 2026. Posted in Latest News

Project:  Interior landscaping refurbishment

Client:  Reckitt Benckiser, Stockley Park

Interior landscaping contractor: Ambius

Installation Date: January 2026

Award: Gold Leaf Award

Reckitt Benckiser’s new headquarters at Stockley Park in Hayes is a bright, modern office designed to accommodate a high number of staff working on-site. With a strong emphasis on quality throughout the building, the interior landscaping needed to complement the contemporary design while helping to create a calm and welcoming working environment.

Ambius was appointed to design and install the interior planting, adding 130 units throughout the new office. As the incumbent supplier across Reckitt’s wider estate, Ambius was well placed to understand the client’s expectations for a consistently high standard of service and presentation.

The planting scheme has been designed to complement the different areas of the office. In the restaurant, acoustic trough planters combine plants with practical sound-absorbing features. Across the open-plan workspace, soft grid framing incorporates 93 planted bowls, bringing plants into the space while creating a subtle sense of separation between areas.

The reception area follows a natural colour palette, complemented by carefully selected plants to create a welcoming first impression. Across the office, the planting scheme combines smaller plants in pots with larger specimens, adding variety in scale and form.

The plant list includes several varieties of Aglaonema, Asplenium, Codiaeum, Tradescantia, Maranta and Epipremnum, alongside larger Ficus specimens. I have kept the main case study readable without listing every variety, but a separate plant schedule or selected-species list could be added if useful.

One of the main challenges was developing the planting scheme directly from the building plans, without being able to assess the physical space or its light levels in person. As the office design evolved through several revisions, Ambius needed to stay flexible and adapt the proposed layouts to reflect the latest plans. And once the final design was approved, the installation schedule was extremely tight.  The installation teams then worked tirelessly over two days to complete the project.

The result is a bright, modern, calm office environment, where planting complements the architecture and softens the interior's clean lines. Despite the challenges of working from plans and delivering to a demanding schedule, Ambius completed the installation on time, ready for the opening of Reckitt Benckiser’s new headquarters.
