plants@work Leaf Award Ceremony 2023

 We are excited to report that we have celebrated our first fully open Leaf Awards Ceremony since 2019. It was great to welcome member companies to this event which was sponsored by Koberg bv.

It’s that time of year when students are returning to college/university or going off for the first time. Some will be used to seeing plants as part of the home and may want to engage with some of their own in their college dormitory or shared house. So we’ve put together some choices that will survive with less care!

Following years of COVID lockdowns and health concerns being more and more in focus, our Ambassador Ian Drummond of Ian Drummond Botanical Designs came up with the idea of using an ambulance filled with plants as the statement vehicle for this year’s #plantsatworkweek.

This year's installation to celebrate National Plants at Work Week, was an ambulance filled with plants with the sub reference of #plantstotherescue. As you'll read further on this and most of the other ideas have been the brain child of our Ambassador Ian Drummond. For the last two installations, Ian has had the valuable help of Shirley and James Smith of Botanica Nurseries Ltd. We spoke to both Ian and Shirley about working on the installations.
